Irregular period

Hi. Ive been having very irregular periods since going off the pill almost 2 years ago now. 

However, almost 2 weeks ago I had very light spotting which lasted less than a day. Then about 3 days later I had very light spotting again this time with period pain and I was sure it was my period (even though I wasn’t due for another 2 weeks). 

However it went away pretty much straight away and now about 13 days later when i am actually meant to get my period I haven’t gotten it yet however have very tender breasts and some muscle cramps. 

Has anyone had this? Is it possible that the spotting was my period? Or would it be considered a missed period? 

I have been told I have PCOS. 

Pleas help!
