Irtitation following cataract surgery

Posted , 4 users are following.

I am now five weeks post cataract surgery with very good vision in my right eye . I find my eye is very sensitive to irritation and it feels sometimes if I have something in it that needs to come out , my eye is also very dry at times and I find myself adding lunricating drops frequently during the day . Has anyone else had these problems ?

the first week, I had three different types of drops to put in several times per day, then two types of drops for another four weeks, plus restatis...I remember that one of the drops was a steroid...

Sounds typical to me. I  know for a while I had a  slight feeling of like a piece of grit was in my eye. During a check up the doctor said it was stitches and eventually would go away on its own, which it did. It was almost 4 months before my right eye was finally clear of various post-op symptoms of discomforts.
