Has anybody else had a reading like this and if so what was next?

ESR is a non-specific test, meaning it does not indicate a specific disease. The most common cause of elevated ESR is bacterial, inflammatory or infectious disease.Based only on ESR we can not conclude anything.Do oyu have any symptoms? Were other blood tests done?If yes can you write down the results?

Hi just had a normal routine bloods done and my blood count was high but that's fixed and now it's an ESR that's highish and will get that redone tomorrow. I'm seeing the doctor and nurse tomorrow morning now. I'm just tired but feel fine apart from that.

If your complete blood count results are normal,do not worry.ESR goes down quite slow,so it will take time.I dont see a reason to repeat the test if CBC was fine, but if your doctor wants it then do it.

Well that's good. I feel quite positive now anyway. I had to do another blood test on Friday and get the results on the 15th. I don't think there's anything serious to worry about now. Thanks for the replies. Will update if there's anything wrong x
