i’ve been on Lexapro at 5 mg and really didn’t have any side effects except it made me a little tired but all of these medication‘s do that. 5 mg is a low dose so you should be OK with that. it should help with your anxiety. None of these medication‘s for anxiety are perfect. no medication will completely take away anxiety but it helps. don’t take it expecting to get symptoms, just take it. It takes a good 4 to 6 weeks to really kick in. at some point you may even need to have it increased by your doctor. It’s really too bad that some doctors don’t take this seriously because we are all suffering terribly from it. just because they can’t see it doesnt mean it’s not happening.

I've been on/off Lexapro for a while. I started at 10mg, then 20mg. It seemed to help me some. Side effects- it made me a bit tired and increased my appetite. My wife also was on Lexapro for a few months. Same side effects. Slightly tired and increased appetite. For many people, Lexapro works well.

ive been on lexapro 5mg for about 9 months. it Definitely took the edge off. i had Crippling anxiety to the point of just wanting to sleep. Between Lexapro and therapy I’m not 100% but lexapro helped me a lot. Also being aware of anxiety and what it is and a lot of positive self talk helped alot. I check in with my doctor about once a month now and she doesn’t want to raise my medication because she feels like im learning to control it. 5 mg may be a low-dose but if you’re a person who’s never taken medication or your tiny It may not be a low dose for you. 5mg is always a great start. When I started Lexapro I always had a nervous feeling I don’t know if it was my anxiety or the Lexapro. Never really had any other symptoms but I know that it took a good four months to work.
