Is anyone having tocilizumab infusions for RA

Just found this site and wonder if anyone has had tocilizumab (RoActemra) infusions to treat their rheumatoid arthritis and if so, does it appear to be helping and have you had any noticeable side effects ?

They think I will be trying this next.

I've had two Rituximab infusions but that seems to have made very little difference so now they will try Tocilizumab.

What is fair to say is that everyone has basically different experiences it seems to me of the same drugs, plus of course drugs that work perfectly well for a year or whatever suddenly don't work for no apparent reason;.

I think I am due for this next infusion about June, I'll post what happens if that helps... best of luck any way rolleyes

I have had three of these infusions now. Not really working. Have had chronic pain in my knee for past 6 weeks - have had it drained twice, had a steroid injection in it, been on liquid morphine. GP now going toput me on morphine patches! Am really fed up with it now as consultant is saying nothing more can be done. Knee looks like a balloon!! really frustrated by it all now as now have no quality of life!
