Is anyone using vitamin B12 complex for sore tongue/burning mouth?

I have had the burning mouth for several weeks, and now only have the tip of my tongue sore. I have also had a very dry nose inside to the point I panic as with my mouth dry and burning, and my nose so dry, how will I breathe during the night? Irrational, I know, but all these symptoms that we get, make us irrational! I started taking vitamin B12 complex yesterday, but I only took one liquid dose and intended to take a second before bed, until I read it can cause insomnia, and as I already get so little sleep, I decided not to take the second dose. Can anyone give me feedback on vit B12?

For the sandpaper dry nose at night I use Vicks vapor rub it helps a lot and the "little ones nose drops" the ones they use on babies and toddlers there's no drug in it at all and you can squeeze as many squirts you want it keeps the nose from dryness and inflammation.  That's all I use for nose. I take mag6 before bedtime it really helps with sleep and I take a multivitamin that has a high dose of all the B vitamins.

I too have burning mouth syndrome as they call it but my folic acid and b12 were way too high so I stopped all vitamins, thinking that they might the reason of the burning mouth. Also in to menpause, which I've heard can be the BMS thing, but it does make me very anxious. The fatigue is horrible. If you find anything for either fatigue or BMS sure would love to know what helps those 2 things. Thanks and good luck.

Hi I have been taking B complex for some time to get my energy back. I have stopped for a few weeks since my energy went low dispite vitamin B complex . Then I had mouth ulcer. I tend to have it a lot without B complex so I have stated again. I don't experience any insomnia but everyone is different. But I haven't had burning mouth for a while. Perhaps it is B that's helping. Good luck.

I have had burning mouth for a few years and not pre until recently. I finally just learned to deal with it. My ENT did give me this concoction once but it didn't really help. I think stress has a lot to do with it also. Sometimes it's really bad other times not so much. For the burning nose I just use Vaseline and put it inside my nose with a q-tip it works really well

I am exactly the same as you! Had it 10 years and only pre for last 18 months, nothing helps, just learnt to get on with it. Can't say I'm stressed so can't even blame it on that! So days better than others, never had it in my nose though.

I've been reading up on BMS I have found a couple things that are helping me.I've been doing this for 1 well now and is a lot better. B12 1500mcg dissolving ones under the tongue, the other thing I am doing, although nasty taste, brushing my teeth with pure baking soda. Seems to be helping a lot. good luck with your BMS!
