Is burning shins part of coeliac disease?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi people, so sorry I keep asking on here, but due to my Dyspraxia I find new groups and change really hard to cope with. I have 1 simple question to ask to any one on here who has coeliac disease - do you get burning shin pain? I am persistently plagued by this, day after day. I am booked in to my doctors on Thursday, if I get an appointment. I now have reached the point where I could cry! Please help this PHYSICALLY HURTS. Thanks

help, i feel sick with this pain, how do i stop it, or what do i do/take for it?

thats a tough one...are you talking about your chin pain? I could only take Tylenol due to advil giving me stomach ulcers. I did stay off my feet for a few days ..as much as possible , when it was at its worst. Mine eventually wore itself out or burned out and stopped but it lasted quite a while. Epson salt baths always helped me. A hot bath with epson salt...soaking for awhile...did ease the pain. Do you have any bruising on your chins too? i had some on occasion with my chin pain.

the pain is making me feel sick, the only thing to stop the pain is either stretching the muscles or shaking my legs. i have physio on friday so i',ll ask what i do then.

hi jeremy, can i ask if you were ever told you had low vit d levels? i am awairing a dexa scan, to do with osteoporosis, but am still getting the burning shin pain. i want to chop my leg off bit drastic do you think?

yes ..my vitamin D was level 10. I was extremely low, took a while but they are back up naturally now thankfully. I understand that feeling of wanting to cut your leg off....its brutal. The burning was very painful, hope you get good results

hi jeremy who did you ask at your doctors about vitamins? my doctor won't check my levels. do i ask the nurse? confused!

      hi sam

I asked my doctor...well,no. I told my doctor i wanted my B12 and vitamin D checked...i wouldnt take no for an answer. Since im paying for it, i was like "if i want it....do it" If your doctor doesn't seem to want to...maybe you can mention it to the nurse. But , he should do that for you as it should be a basic test.

hi jeremy, i have spoken to my doctor and she said at that doctors they wouldn't redo any tests until 3:months+ had gone by! i did say i wanted to make sure all my vitamin levels are up to date, it's like getting through to concrete.

yes its tough. If the doctors were in our position, they would order tests for themselves immediately. Its troubling and frustrating when doctors seem to pass us over

grrrr!the pain is awful! i was offered an ibuprofen gel. that's crxc.

I wished i could take Ibuprofen, Tylenol never helps me with anything. My stomach is so darn sensitive , i cant take anything but Tylenol

its the only form of pain reliever i can take, i guess something may be better than nothing, but headaches are about the only thing it helps me with
