Is dyhidration a symptom of stress?

Posted , 4 users are following.

For a few months now i have had various symptom that the doctor believes is anxiety or stress related. If nothing else. And every day i feel so hyperactive and it just increases till it gets too much and i need to drink alot of water. My mouth feels gets dry, dizzy and i do get constapated. I don't get thirsty.

I feel like i may have had this issue for a few months and tests have come back claiming my kidneys and liver are working fine. So i really ain't sure why i'm getting dehydrated so quickly. If so.

ive got GAD and the sheer amount of energy you burn worrying and stuff just drains the body of fluid. drink loads and loads of water i can tell you its a life saver. fluids do help keep you topped up. i wale up and easily drink 2 pints of water first thing. then i probably consume 8 pints a day and very little passes through. So my advice to keep everything moving is drink as much as you can.

many people are dehydrated and they don’t even know it.

Most people don’t drink enough water so they become dehydrated and constipated. stress can cause dehydration and dehydration can cause stress. It’s a vicious cycle.

You can break the cycle by drinking more water during the day. Also learning how to manage the stress would also help. you could speak with a counselor about that.

Do you find drinking water calms you down?

Yes i have had several diabities tests. Its always normal.

I have had Liver tests too. My BILIRUBIN levels were always being abit high. But the doctor doesn't see this as a problem as i have had it since i was a teenager and its never really been an issue on my health.

Had 2 ultrascans that were normal too.
