Is hip wearing out

I had my first THR seven years ago and am starting to get some odd aches in my thigh and knee. Has anyone had a revision and how did it become evident that the old hip was the problem? I havn't had a fall and I have no weird sounds etc.

before thinking that in 7 years your hip has worn out. ask for a follow up which is something we hippies are responsible to do on a yearly basis a x-ray. it's a never say never on hips giving us issues especially after years of surgery. have you checked to dee if there was a recall on the hip components by the manufacturer? in most cases the issue with complications is from the first few weeks after surgery and the pain never gets better but worse within months and of course it is puzzling why more complications dont seem to show up in xrays testing or surgeons dont have any answers in some cases ...bah hum bug... yet they do really know.

    that is a fact.

i have one hip for 30 years. the other hip was done in 2011 and it always was a painful issue after surgery. i had a revision after 6 years of constant complaining on deaf ears . for 6 years. revision was finally done in 2017 and it's better. most complications found were a very long list of issues. if you are interested let me know be happy to go over them with you.
