    Hi to mono,

I went on holiday at 13 weeks post op, after I had my 1st anterior repair/hysterectomy.

I did go swimming in the sea without any problems.

I think as long as your discharge has stopped and no complications.

They do encourage swimming as soon as discharge stops/ and wound sit's areally healed. Usually any time from around 8 weeks, assuming no complications.

This time round I went on holiday 4 months post op and again swimming g in sea no problem.

Hope you gave a lovely time at beach.

Thank you for the reply Phyl. I didn't know the swimming is recommended.

Unfortunately, I found bleeding after I was examed by GP today so I'm not gonna risk myself this time. Hope I will jump into the sea soon.

Hi dianelou. I know I'm worried to get infected by bacteria too. I'm in Australia the beaches are pretty much clean but still who knows.

Wouldn't go in any lakes or ponds either just in case of bacteria, but swimming pools are regularly checked and would only consider clean beaches from 3 months as long as they are regularly checked and no complications.

Im sure Matron said something about vaginas bring self cleaning
