Is it a cancerous tumour?

Hi! I'm a 17 year-old female. I don't take any medications and I don't have any health conditions as far as I know. I've had this weird lump on the back of my head for more than 1.5 years now. To begin with it would bleed and leak pus, but for a long time it hasn't done either now. It's a firm lump that moves around under my skin and hurts when I press on it, but I don't notice it otherwise. I haven't noticed any other weird symptoms. I think the lump is about 1.5-2 cm in diameter.
Is it something I should worry about? Could this be a cancerous tumour or something else that is dangerous? Should I see a doctor?

Its more than likely to be a non cancerous epidermoid cyst - the pus like substance you describe would be keratin build up. Its important you see a doctor about it but they are very rarely cancerous.

Honestly it could have been an infected hair that now there is scar tissue from "bothering" it...popping it...etc....It doesnt' sound like anything serious but I would to make yourself feel better when you see a "general" Dr...ask about it...
I hope I eased your stress a little bit....

Bumps that are cancerous are typically large, hard, painless to the touch and appear spontaneously. The mass will grow in size steadily over the weeks and months. Cancerous lumps that can be felt from the outside of your body can appear in the breast, testicle, or neck, but also in the arms and legs
