Ask your doctor point blank if the emg points to MND. Don't let them push you off it is a terrible disease and in 2 to 5 years you will die. So you have to get everything in order. Especially with your wife. Tell her so you can go thorough it together. Best wishes. Find answers don't wait any longer.

angel if a doctor suspected MND they would not fob you off, as you say it is a terrible disease and I know two people who had it. The symptoms mentioned so far do not particularly sound like MND, there are a lot of other possibilities. Have you been diagnosed with MND?

I am being tested. It is very frightening. I have had all

Labs that were normal. MRI everything nothing to explain it.

I have had 7 weeks of fasciculations and now my outer left ankle hurts when I walk on it and the peroneal nerve that runs up left of my leg hurts to rub it. Which leads to foot drop a classic sign of MND.

What did your doctor say, does he suspect MND? Foot drop is not exclusive to MND. I have had it myself and also my father has it. He wears a splint.

Won't know until after tomorrow see doctors again. They always say wait and see. It is the twitching that scares me because it is indicative to the illness and it has been happening for 7 weeks now not stopping. Had all labs to rule out deficiencies. Had low vitamin D that's all taking d2 supplements for two months now.

What I am saying is that the neuromuscular specialist say you have to wait and see if you develop anymore symptoms that lead them to believe you may have MND. Like foot drop or weakness. After the emg there is nothing more they can do but wait see what develops.

Personaly I think you are worrying overduly. EMG is just part of a diagnosis along with looking at symptoms. Telling your doctor you may have MND will probably not help the diagnosis.

I just want them to do another emg and another in months if I feel it is necessary. Instead surprise here you go.
