Is it dangerous having endo in the bladder?

My endometriosis is much better since I started taking my supplements, but I still have some symptoms. I have some pain behind and below the ribs, and I think it is the bowel that is hurting. I also have blood in the urin, so I must have endo in the bladder.
I feel that I can live with this pain, it is not that bad anymore, so I don´t think I need the surgery that Im currently waiting for. But even if I can handle the pain, I wonder if it is dangerous to not operate when it has grown into the bowel and bladder? Is it a mistake just leaving it alone?

I would ask your specialist.....I am in a bit of the same situation....I was on visanne (hormones) and that helped but the side effects were too bad so I went off the pills. I am taking supplements - magnesium, fish oil and turmeric. I think they are helping. My MRI showed both my fallopian tubes are blocked so I have been diagnosed with edno that has grown into the tubes. The MRI showed that my bowel and bladder look okay. They were going to do surgery and remove my tubes and cut out the endo but my specialist said he is going to leave it for now as I don't want to have any kids. And the endo will just grow back he said. What supplements are you taking?

Hi Taara
The short answer to your question is a question: would you mind peeing &/or pooping in bags attached to your body? Because that can easily happen if endo is left to grow on bladder & bowel.
I was lucky in that when I had my total hysterectomy at 27, they got everything off my bowel without having to cut into it. My endo took another 27 years to come back, at which point it took a small section of my colon, about 7 inches. I didn't even need a temporary colostomy bagwhich was good because I am allergic to adhesive & could never survive having either or both of those pouches stuck on my all the time.
You are playing with not just fire but conflagration if you knowingly leave this stuff on those organs. Keep in mind that the woman recommending supplements is not herself yet risking such vital organs.
There's something else to consider: sometimes getting our diagnosis confirmed makes us feel so much better that we are unaware that endo is getting much worse. In the mere 5 or 6 weeks between my lap and the total hysterectomy I'd had to talk my doc into doing, my endo went from moderate to severe. We only learned of this because I had the hysterectomy. Same gyn did both and she was shocked at what had happened inside me. I had been pain free once I healed from the laparoscopy.
It is entirely your choice. Rust never sleeps and neither does endo unless we force it to.

BTW, has your doc checked all the other reasons for blood in the urine? This isn't an area for self-diagnosis any more than endo is.

Altarg - Thanks for your reply. I suspected as much. I am worried about it, because as you said, before you even have the chans to react, the disease can develop very rapidly. It hasnt been confirmed yet, but the blood in the urin comes when I have my period. I did seek medical help a couple of years ago, but the doctor didnt let me have the operation at the time. I hope it hasnt grown to much...

Are you in a system where you can't change doctors or specialist/consultants? Can you get yourself to an endo specialist?
