Is it fusing

hi,

can anyone help help reassure me.  I'm away having a break but looked and noticed next to the clitoris symetrical either side has lost its lip type thing just inside the minora, it's hard to describe.  It's like a kerb edge has melted into the road.  Should I put clob on it's happened so quickly.  I feel frightened nowhere to turn.  I was discharged at xmas from the consultant.  Is it normal.  The LS seemed to start either side of the clitoris.  Any information would help me.

    Hi Sue

I am no expert but yes, it sounds to me like fusing.  This has started happening to me over the past few months, I had no idea what was going on and began to look into it on the internet.  It is really scary I agree and I tried all sorts of things to stop it but nothing seems to work.  It seems to be a symptom of LS.

However, I have joined this group and begun reading good things about Borax, look for the thread,Experiments with Borax and you will read for yourself whats been going on.  I saw my gyni the other day and even she said she hear heard about the positive results with borax.  So I have started to use it myself, every other day to see if I can get my fusing to slow down....we will have to see but whatever the results I think its going to be a slow process.

My advice...do not look at any images on the internet and do not take any notice of the scare stories we read!!!!

      Hi,

thanks for for taking the time to reply.  It is scared, I've had no symptoms other than whiteness which the clob returned to pink.  Then I looked.  I agree I wish I didn't use google.  I just keep thinking what on earth is it going to look like,  I honestly never knew anything like this happened, I'd never heard or known about this.  I wondered if some of it it lack of oestrogen as I'm post meno six years soon and have been experiencing thinning hair and so had my hair cut short.  I've read the borax, I hope it works for you.  I think on Monday I'm going to ring the meno clinic and see if I can see the lady dr again at least it's someone to offload to you are right some stories are horrid. Are you in the UK? There's a meno clinic? If you are I'd love to know where that is but you are right, I was never told by my gyni that fusing might happen, maybe she didn't want to scare me but knowledge is power, I wish she had.

What I hate is that you can't feel it happening, you just look and a little bit more has gone.... And yes, what will it look like, when and where does it stop. I find it very frightening.

      Hi,

yeah im in the UK.  There is a menopause clinic at the sexual health clinic.  You are right you can't feel it happening, think you are doing well and it's changed so much so quick.  I was away visiting family and just looked and burst into tears if I'm honest so then couldn't sleep.  I hate the showing drs generally males with no empathy so found the meno lady who had so much empathy.  It hasn't fused but more just melted away as if gone back to before we age with puberty.  It really affects us mentally all this.  I think if things look stable and the itching stops it's ok but I have read ladies on here say their archecture has gone. Hi deethebee have you found Borax working? I have just bought some in the UK from eBay as you can't buy it over the counter it seems.

      How do you apply it?

hi, yes I got mine on ebay. I was soaking Cotten wool or a small piece of cloth in my solution and placing it directly onto the inner labia, but today I decided to also use a q tip and apply the solution to the fused area more directly and more often, twice a day I'm going to try. . I just keep adding a quarter of a teaspoon to my bottle of water until it's dissolved and when the crystals stop dissolving I know there's enough in the water. I only use a small cupfull of water and change it every few days as the borax will last for ages. I' ve got everything crossed that this helps, it's such a frightening prospect, losing one's labia, where and why it goes is such a mystery to everyone and where does it stop, how much of us will dissappear?? .

    Hi Sue,

I know what you mean. Mine is in labia minor both sides and just looks like it has melted. I know that sounds weird but that is what it looks like. I just started noticing it. My LS specialist said this may happen and saw a little of it when I saw her 6 months ago, but she didn't seem to concerned about it. I have another appointment with her in a few weeks and am going to ask her how far this goes. She really knows her stuff bout does not have a lot of bedside manner so I am not sure what she will say. She is very truthful and forthcoming but like I said she lacks bedside manner.

They never seem to say much about it, maybe it's because they don't know....? I'm going to see a private gyni who specialises in LS in Harley street no less in about 3 weeks . It will be interesting to see what she says on the whole thing and also if she's heard of the borax treatments... Have you started using it?

No I have not heard about it until I read it mentioned in this site. I am going to look into it and see what LS specialist has to say about it. She specializes in LS so it will be interesting to hear what she has to say and see if I can get her to say why she has not mentioned borax. Are in the U.K.? I am in USA so maybe that info regarding borax is not widely known here. Maybe that is why I haven't heard about it.

      Hi,

let it me know how you get on and what she says won't you, that way I learn a bit more about the disappearing thing.  Interestingly where it had melted was where it all started.  I remember when it started it was puffy and white on the inner lip of the minora,  yes it's like a kerb edge has lost its 90 degrees and melted into the road isn't it, that's how I think I'd describe it.  Clitoris seems ok atm.  Sorry bit to the point that bit but who else but on here can we talk so direct to.  They lack the bedside manner don't they, a man I saw was awful with his manner. Good luck

It seems the borax treatments are widely used in the USA as you can buy borax in the supermarket apparently. We can't here in the UK. Mind you, I also only heard about borax on here. Although another gyni I saw, who is very knowledgeable said she had heard about the use of borax for LS but she didn't go into detail. So it's obviously out there in the medical profession but I think it's early days.

I will let you know what she says. My appointment is middle September so it will be a little while before I can pass any info onto you. I don't seem to have problem with clitoris at this time either but who knows what tomorrow will bring. I would just like to find out how far this "melting" is apt to go.

Exactly, I thought my clothes was safe but literally just today I'm sure I can see the top of the inner labia at the top bear the hood starting to fuse together, bloody hell, it's happening so quickly. I got my borax solution out quickly and used my q tip and put lots over the area trying to prise it apart. It didn't of course but I'm going to do this at least twice a day, every day.
