Hi everyone,
I'm 24 men. I had something like an attack last week. When i woke up one morning i had a slight pain in my big toe. It hurt a little while walking and i had a few beers that night. When I got up in the morning, the pain continued while walking. In the afternoon my big toe was swollen and the pain increased. The pain and swelling went away after taking a few medications. I had my uric acid level measured and it was 8.4 mg/dl. Also i checked the old time levels and i saw it was 8.5 mg/dl in 2020, 8.2 mg/dl in january and 8.1 mg/dl in april. I started diet right away. My uric acid level dropped to 7.3 mg/dl in just a week. I'm still on a diet.
I saw a specialist and he said it didn't look like gout, it could be a covid-related arthritis. I didn't take any medicine for drop my uric acid level. Also i love red meat, seafood and alcohol.
What are your ideas and recommendations? Is it seems like a gout or can it be an other thing ? ( If it seems like a gout, when i drop my uric acid level can i eat red meat and drink some beer , whisky, wine or something ? )
