IS IT HERPES????? PLEASE HELP

I had unprotected sex. the following day, I looked "down there" with a mirror and just new something wasnt right... I jumped the gun and went to the doctor and saw a physician. She did the swab and it came back negative.... Blood test also came back negative. She still prescribed me the antiviral meds for 7 days. Would the antiviral completely eliminate the "breakout" before it even starts? How does that work? I have never really looked down there before this so i dont know what to look for? I have never had a yeast infection so i dont know what that looks like. Maybe the lady didnt mention a yeast infection because i was crying and was convinced that it was an STD? She never once mentioned a yeast infection. Anyways, 7 days after taking the meds, i am still so red down there and itchy!!!! I cant tell if i am just paranoid or if something is wrong. I am going back in 2 weeks to get another blood test which will be 5 total weeks from when I had sex. IF i have herpes, will it FOR SURE show up in a blood test after 5 weeks? My anxiety cant take it much longer than that. I need opinions please!!!!

It will show. Ask for IGg test which shows a previous infection and IGm test which shows a recent infection.

No it wont it takes 4-6 months to build antibodies for a new infection. At least thats what i gathered from my research. And youre not goint to develop herpes in one day. I think perhaps is your anxiety cus i suffer from it too and i did exactly what youre doing right now

i just dont understand why i am so itchy! I dont have any sores but it is soooo itchy. I tried monistat 7 and the itching reduced, but it is still really red. Not sure how to get rid of it!
