Is it mono? Should I seek second opinion?

Hi everyone,

Opinions would be greatly appreciated. I was diagnosed with mono for the second time in November 2018. I was tested because I felt like I had never recovered from first mono diagnosis about four years prior and new doctor decided to check for active mono infection. I have consistently tested positive with acute infection every time my doctor has checked since then (about twice a year). All symptoms seem to come and go, but are often worse after significant exertion. I often experience fatigue, dizziness, very sore lymph nodes under arms and am intolerant of cardiovascular exercise (flu like for a couple days after). Clinical results over the past few years show ongoing anemia despite iron supplement, often low white blood cell counts, occasionally low platelets, elevated bilurubin, reaction to ALL allergens at allergy testing (no prior allergies), new asthma diagnosis (no wheezing or inhaler ever used). I also tested positive for Lyme in 2018 and completed round of antibiotics before testing negative. After going to doctor yesterday and being given the same results I have been for years, I am wondering if there is anything else I should consider? Frustrated because I just cant seem to get better and the cardio intolerance seems to be negatively affecting my heart as my resting heart rate is pretty high and the fatigue and sometimes difficulty focusing is maddening. I feel like this walking medical anomaly that no one knows what to do with so they say rest (two kids and full time job) and take care of myself and hopefully I will feel better. After years and years and years of this I'm just so sick of it. Thankfully none of my symptoms are all that serious but it is a whole host of things that just don't seem to add up to anything. Are there any types of doctors you would recommend or other testing to consider to get to the bottom of this or treatment that has worked for you? Was sent to infectious disease already and after waiting ages for appointment they basically told me I was wasting their time and there was nothing they could do for me. Thank you for reading ❤️
