Is it normal that your heart races all the time while having a Anxiety Disorder?

HI ^^

So I was diagnosed with an Axiety disorder but nothing clear yet because I have to go to a psychiatrist still and in my city its hard to get an appointment.

I can feel my heart all the time even if I'm not afraid, or at least it feels like it but my pulse is alway under 100 so it shoudnt be anything serious. But I cant consentraid at anything really because its always racing.

I have almost no idea of anxiety disorders so I was wondering if that is what it feels like to have one?

I wouldn't say it's normal, but racing heart is a common symptom of anxiety, because you're in "fight or flight" mode. Rather than worrying about your heart rate, you might want to try doing things to be calm especially until you can see the doctor.

yes anxiety can cause all sorts of sensations including a racing heart. The racing heart, when due to anxiety, is caused by a release of adrenaline. It’s not harmful. You can have the racing heart even if you don’t feel anxious that’s because there is an underlying anxiety within you.

you might consider speaking with a therapist which is different from the psychiatrist. Psychiatrist mostly prescribed medication some of which work and sometimes they don’t. Everybody is different. I like a therapist because they are the ones that help you manage the anxiety. You can talk to them about things in your life that might be causing the anxiety.

try to relax your mind as much as you can. There are some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety that are very helpful. Best of luck and take care.

Ah ok thank you so much >.<

I have no idea of these anxiety disorders and what they are and what they to me so i think most of my fear comes from not knowing if it really is an anxiety disorder, tho I think it is one. Would you be fine if I would ask you some more questions about the topic? o.o

(also sorry for the late reply)
