Is it normal to have a random swollen lymph node after 10 months?

Hello, I became unwell with glandular fever/EBV back in October 2020, I’m not far off a year now since I became unwell, and although I’m a hell of alot better now than what I was, I still have lingering symptoms. It has been the worst year of my life and this virus is by far, the worst illness I’ve had due to the recovery period.⁣

A few weeks back, I noticed an enlarged lymph node towards the back of my neck. It’s not massive, but it’s there. Is this normal 10 months after infection? Has anyone else had enlarged lymph nodes come up this long after the virus and when feeling better? ⁣

It seems odd to me, as I’m feeling better than I was. Any experiences you’ve had are greatly appreciated!

    Hi Sophie,

Yep, I have this, I've had it ultrasound twice, both times they said its ok. I've had it since November, so pretty much 10 months. It's always harder than the others and it fluctuates, sometimes it's bigger than the day before, then shrinks.

Hope you're feeling better each day.
