Is it okay to mix my medications?

So I have been taking clindamycin (150mg) for about a week now for my tonsillitis. I finish taking it on Sunday. However I just got a positive test result for chlamydia this morning and was prescribed azithromycin (500mg, 2 pills, one time dose). I did not even think about mixing the two, I did not even think about asking my pharmacist about taking them at the same time. I know they are both antibiotics, so I looked it up and it says it is not good to take them at the same time because it will cause "antagonism" ?!?!? What does this mean??? Is it true??? Did I just ruin it for myself by taking them together and will it not cure my chlamydia ?! I'm really scared because I want my chlamydia gone and it said it would take a week but now I am worried I may have to retake medication for it because the clindamycin with it may cause it to not work!! Please help me and give me some answers thank you 😦

Its not good to take different medications of the same time, because it increases the risk of side effects, and antibiotics cause heart and lung problems. If taken in really high dosages.
