Is it possible to attack the Harold patch

Posted , 5 users are following.

Hello all! I got my first case of P.R about a year and a half ago. It lasted 2 months before drying up and going away. It was severe with no "classic" symptoms. I just now notice on my arm a feared Harold patch. Does anyone have experience with attacking that or doing anything right away to prevent the full blown rash?

I second Summer Rose. I had PR for 14 months- usually people have it for 6 to 12 weeks, so I know that there are many "not usual" PR cases, BUT: odds are that either you did not have PR before, or that you do not have a recurrence now. Did you have a biopsy done either then or now? Best way to now what you are dealing with!

Just noticed your post....hope you're healed by now, but wanted to tell you how I "contained" my 2nd outbreak (about 6 months after getting rid of the first episode). Mine both started with the herald patch and branched out from there. Took me over 4 months to finally get rid of the first outbreak, but finally bought Prreze and started taking many doses of L-Lysine a day and it immediately improved and was gone about a week later. I still have the remnant marks which have been fading gradually but no more itching or pain.

The first episode started on my belly on the right side and travelled around to my back. 2 weeks ago I noticed another herald patch in the same spot but now on my left side. I was so p****d, I slathered the entire herald patch with Nu-Skin to cut off all oxygen and stop the itching. I re-applied daily and dabbed any new rash sprouting off the herald patch. This really worked great. No itch, and stopped it in it's tracks.  It's almost completely gone in 2 weeks. Wish I had done this with the first episode.

I had PR 2 years ago. Found a woman online who said get on a sunbed NOW!.... I had 6 minutes on an infra-red sunbed (good for skin problems etc)..... within 24 hours it was 70% gone..... a few more sunbeds and it was gone. I was nearly 4 weeks in and suffering terribly.

Lucky me.....it's just returned..... well.... I have my herald patch. I've been having a few minutes on the sunbed here and there......seems to be suppressing it.....

    I will keep e.one posted.
