Is it possible to have a tension headache for 3 weeks???

Posted , 4 users are following.

It's off and on, I know my neck and back hurt pretty badly. I went to get a massage this weekend, hoping it helps.

Does anyone else get headaces that last long?? I feel like its something else, but they have done CT scans back in April and it all came back clear.

HELP.

When your neck and back hurt they can cause tension headaches on a daily basis. I had that for a very long time and I finally went to physical therapy which helped a lot! When you are done they give you exercises to do at home. If you don't get help for your neck and back the tension headaches will continue.

see if your doctor will write you an order for physical therapy, actually there's no reason why he or she would not do that. It's what you need right now.

Yes it is possible I suppose.

I would advise you have your eyes checked, if they have not been done in the last two years or so. It may be eye strain or working on the computer. I have a pair of glasses for reading books etc and another set for the computer

Yes this is possible. It happened to me when I was finishing up graduate school. It scared the crap out of me because I never had them before, so it was a new type of pain. Throw in the issues I have with anxiety and it made them worse and likely made them stick around longer. I went to the doctor and showed her where the pain was and she told me the lack of any other symptoms like fainting, seizures, blindness or blind spots at times were clear indicators I was just suffering from tension headaches due to stress. A few days later I felt much better. If you aren't already, get some help for your anxiety or get a book on anxiety to help you work through this little road block!

I have problems with C1/C2 in my neck caused by a whiplash injury and that causes me to have headaches, I also have PsA and have problems with my spine, that also causes headaches as does my Depression and Anxiety. My problems have shown up on Xray and Scan.

In my case they suggested that I look at my posture. That included walking and sitting and looking into how long I had had my mattress, I changed that for a Memory Foam mattress at that did work. We are supposed to change our mattresses every ten years or so because they can cause problems with the spine.

    Just some suggestions
