Is it possible to have little vertigo-ish/dizzy attacks instead of a full blown one?

More like where things half spin instead of full on going round and round and the nausea is much less.

Since my last acute attack in July, I have had vertigo every day in varying degrees. Some days the world is slightly spinning with mild nausea. Other days its a little worse including stars in my eyes. However, I was also recently diagnosed with shingles in the inner ear on top of my Meniere's. Started some supplements and that seems to be helping. I have managed five days in a row of somewhat normal existing. Today I had some off balance but a weather front moved in so I am hoping that is the cause.

    Hello,

I have the full gamut of symptoms.  I can get sudden drop attacks from right out of the blue with no warning, slow build up ones where I gradually feel worse and worse so know it is coming and can medicate to alleviate it as much as possible, ones where I am on the floor puking, ones where I can stay sitting upright and wait it out without being sick, and ones where I just feel a bit dizzy and nauseous.  I also recently have ones where I just feel a bit nauseous but not dizzy.  The worst thing for me is the sudden ones as I am really quite afraid to go anywhere in case I get one of those and it has stopped me driving.

do you get blurred eyesight? my eyes go blurry suddenly and I am not sure whether this is from the menieres, I don't know a great deal about it yet as only just diagnosed, but I sweat a lot too, where it's running through my hair and down my face and I read somewhere that that is a symptom too?

Certainly, I have what I call little side slips all the time. This is where you just feel a small half spin, almost like an adjustment. I am so used to them that i barely even take note of them.

      Hayhue,

I did today. Yesterday was such a good day, I almost wanted to believe things were changing and I didn't have Menieres after all. Then today, bamb, I was in a restaurant where the acoustics were loud, my ears filled up, head started being weird, nasuea started, and I'm down for the rest of the day because any movement is like I am carsick. Bummer. This was probably a good day compared to some stories I've read, but it caused me to withdrawal from any further plans.

I have only just been diagnosed and haven't had really bad attacks since the first one that lasted hours and I ended up being in hospital for 6 days having various scans, lumbar puncture etc. and they actually thought I had had a bleed on the brain at first!  I have to admit though that I have hardly been out of the house since that happened - been off work 6 weeks now.  I just feel awful - the tinnitus is driving me mad and when I do go out I am stumbling quite a bit where it was only every now and again, it's every time I go out now, so I am staying in bed feeling quite depressed actually as I am missing work and a routine.  I have increased antidepressants and just want to feel "normal" again, but the depression is not lifting and I just want to stay in bed and not see or talk to anybody.  I am going to force myself to go back to work next week after my next sick note runs out as I know that will help lift the depression - sorry I am going on a bit now and diverting from your question.  I am interested in the responses, as my vertigo hasn't been full blown since that first attack and I think I have only had that feeling of the room spinning about 3 times since the first bad attack and they haven't lasted long at all (thankfully!)  but the tinnitus is getting worse and I am worried each time I do force myself out as I stumble all the time now and need a stick.
