Is it really symptoms of HIV?

hi everyone, i have been in a relationship for almost 5 years now, recently he was getting sick after intercourse, whenever we did it, he feel like throwing up, and for a week or so, have headaches and burning eyes and sometimes fever. this all lasts for almost few days, then he get back to normal. he went to Doctor and Doc wrote him some test and he said its might be HIV or AIDS . are these really symtoms of HIV ? because i personally think its all happening because of depression and stress. whats your opinion?

    just a update, his HIV test came up all clear. but He got other problems, Doc said his liver and stomach is not working properly, doc gave him antibiotics for one month and than will take other tests again..
