You'll have to supply more information if you want us to help.

    1. How long have you had this problem?
    2. Is it itchy, painful or painless?
    3. Did it happen after sex and if so, how long ago did you have sex?
    4. Are you on any medication or have you applied anything to these areas?
    5. Can you please tell us if you have other (itchy) spots or rashes anywhere else on your body?

    Thanks,

    Adhari

      Dear helpmepleaseind,

Thanks for the information, which confirms my suspicions that you have scabies.

This is an infestation that is passed on through intimate bodily contact- wearing a condom wouldn't have helped. You need to go to see a doctor or else visit your local drugstore or pharmacist for scabies treatment- ask them for permethrin cream or malathion lotion. Read and follow the instructions carefully, as the medication has to be carefully applied all over your skin. If the nodules on the scrotum are very itchy, you can also apply crotamiton (Eurax) cream to soothe the area.

Scabies is an STD so you and your partner (if you have a regular partner as well) should get checked for other infections like HIV, syphilis, gonorrhoea and chlamydia.

      Rgds,

      Adhari

      2. Should I say them about my sexual history ?
      3. What are chances for testing HIV positive ?
