Is it too soon to switch

I have been on zoloft now 10 days. I have not felt any better. The anxiety is still bad I'm always tired and appetite has plunged. I'm sick of this. Could it be this is not the right medicine for me? I know this isn't enough time but I would hope by going into my second week I would feel a bit better. I'm thinking of trying Lexapro. I've read it's better for anxiety.

Give it more time. I was frantic and on the fence like you were for a little over a month. Now that im passed 10 week mark ive noticed improvement.

There is no curing what youre going through, but you can treat it.

You didn’t mention what mg your on but in my opinion it’s way to early to switch if it’s only been 10 days, it usually takes 6-8 weeks to feel the full benefit. I have been on 50mg for 7 weeks now and I feel 100 times better than I did when I started. And everyone reacts different depending on mg, some do fine on 25 some do great on 50 and some do great on 100-150 depends on the person. And please don’t let people tell you that you need to increase your mg because a certain mg did not work for them, you get a lot of that on here. Good luck

I started on 25mg on Friday 27th and increased to 50 the other day. The 50 made me super tired yesterday so I'll take it tonight. I've had insomnia since April and doctors wanted me on anti depressants then and I said no. I wish now I would of listened. I always seem to do better in the afternoons than I do mornings. I'm still feeling lots of anxiety and bits of depression. My son goes back to school in two weeks and I'm out of work. I hate being home alone and feeling miserable. My husband works all day. I'm hoping to get a job once I pass all the side effects. I worry a lot. Everything from money, health, family. I've never though in my 45 years I would have to be on medicine.

The first month was terrible for me. I missed about 1/2 my shifts at work and spent day after day in bed. I had a 3 day stretch where I slept for 18 hours in a row. I'm 6 months into it now and haven't missed work in over a month. I can laugh and socialize again and it feels great. Cliche' as it sounds you just need to hang in there smile

Wòoh ten days is too early, I know its hard and your thinking everyday about it not getting better.. Ive been on 100 for 8 weeks now, still got a bit of aniexty, but most feelings of depression, aniexty is easing. Please dont stop without talki g to your doctor. Give it time..
