Very normal Sarah. I am over 10 months now. Different muscle aches as I recover (quite nicely). I continue to go to Chiro every 2 weeks and wouldn't hesitate to be in touch with physiotherapist if you have one that you feel is good. But most normal. Things do get easier. Especially towards the 6 week mark. Don't get too cocky. Continue to do your exercises. Put compresses on. I take magnesium daily which helps with the muscles.

Totally normal Sarah, the recovery can take a long time. It was about 18 months before I really felt 'like myself' once again. Go look at my website if you have time on your hands, and look at my recovery blogs.
Best wishes
Graham

Hi Sarah
The pain prior to surgery is gone but replaced by different aches and pains. I found the first 6 weeks hardest but almost 6 months before I felt the hip was well and truly party of my body but was still careful for around 2 years. Everyone is different. Don't overdo it and keep up the physio.
All the best.

Well darling, 3 weeks post-op from this major invasive surgery is still very early -- your body has gone through some trauma where bone, muscles, tendons etc. were cut, hip joint forcefully dislocated and hardware banged in ..
Allow your body to heal at her own pace -
Did you have staples or stitches ? Scar can feel sensitive for a while and there might be scar tissue forming .
you can massage the spot with bio-oil or similar if the scar is closed and dry ..
you are doing great, Sarah
big warm hug
