Is my anemia bad?

Some background, i have hemorrhoids and occasionally they bleed for a week and stop, never face any issues.
But my hemorrhoids have been bleeding everyday for the past 3.5 weeks. On the previous Monday (6days ago) i felt super dizzy and went to the ER. They said i was mildly anemic, my blood level was 11 when it should be 15. They didn't seem overly concerned and told me just to take iron supplements to even out the blood loss. To solve my hemorrhoids issue they told me to contact a specialist which i'm seeing Nov 15th.
So i started to feel better Tue, Wed and Thurs even though i'm still losing blood once a day when i got to the toilet. Friday i was super tired and my wife commented on how pale i was. Saturday morning i was ok. Saturday midday i went to the bathroom lost a lot of blood. Felt dizzy right away so i lay down and could feel my heart pounding. Felt better as the day went on. I went out to dinner with the wife but all through dinner i felt pins and needles all over my body, after eating i was super tired so i went home and my wife stayed out. I went to bed and slept straight away. When my wife came in, she woke me to make sure i was ok. I tired to go back to sleep, my heart was pounding, i had pins and needles all over my body, pains all over my body and i struggled to sleep.
Woke up this morning i was much better but not great. Went to the toilet, lost a little bit of blood, didn't feel as bad as yesterday. But i have small amounts of pins and needles and dizziness.
I just wondering how long do the over the counter iron supplements take to work? SHould i go back to the ER if still have these symtoms before i get to meet the specialist on Nov 15th?
Any other advice? Thanks

I too suffered awful dizziness and pins and needles in my right arm. I have nearly finished my course and am feeling pretty much normal now. Hope you feel better soon
