Anxiety and stress can raise blood pressure. Have you had a visit with your doctor? High blood pressure begins at 145/90.   It’s important to keep your pressure below there. Some ways to lower the pressure are:

taking a prescription medication your doctor prescribes . If you have high blood pressure and your  doctor orders medication, it’s very important to take it regularly.

another way to lower blood pressure is reducing salt intake and exercising.

stress reduction is important in lowering blood pressure. Think of what causes you stress in your life. Counseling can help you with this.

I like the audio meditations are YouTube for anxiety and stress.

There’s also excellent breathing meditation’s  that are short but very effective in gaining control over anxiety  which will help reduce blood pressure.

Anxiety can cause your blood pressure and heart rate to rise for sure. I usually have pretty normal readings of both unless my anxiety is really kicking in. Controlling your anxiety is really the only way to lower your blood pressure if the anxiety is the only cause. You can take herbal supplements and stay away from salt or caffeine but in the end the high blood pressure is really just a symptom of the anxiety not a disease you are treating. Some doctors will prescribe blood pressure medication but you have to really be careful with your blood pressure dropping too low, kind of an over correction if you will. I would make sure that my health was good in all other ways and then focus on treating my anxiety to try and control the blood pressure symptoms. Good Luck!!!

Blood pressure can be hereditary also.  Does anyone in your family have it?

You can try to reduce it by de stressing, but if it continues to stay in that range it’s important to manage it by visiting your doctor.  Yours isn’t super high, but you need to catch it now so it doesn’t go higher.

My  pressure was about what yours is and my doctor has me on a low dose medication that gets rid of excess water which keeps my blood pressure in the 120s/70 range. Mine is hereditary from my dad.

As a nurse, I know how damaging high blood pressure is on the arteries of the heart, Brain, etc ,

Exercise is important for healthy arteries, organs, and everything!  As long as you have no restrictions.

    I hope this helps!😁??
