I am not sure how big the smallest band is but I am guessing that at 7.25 mls you must be pretty well near the highest level possible so it could be that you need a small defill - how much did you have in your band previously by the  way? when you are at that ultimate level of restriction the smallest amount can make a big difference so do not suffer in silcence - if you can get some fluids down then you will be ok for a few days  but if this conts then you need help - can you manage thin soup for example so that you get some nutrition and what about milk, slimfast or yogs?  some fill providers insist on a liquid diet for wk after a fill though mine never did - he just would say to take it easy for a day or two which i always did - if you find you cannot even keep liquids down then you need to seek medical advice straight away - you could try sucking an ice pop to get some liquid in and also if there is some swelling (say if you have had things stuck this could have caused some aggravation)  the coldness of the ice pop should help reduce the swelling.  Some say a warm bath can also ease things so this is  something to try f you can lie on your tummy and submerge yourself up to your neck in warm water.   you should def be eating slowly no matter what size band you have and chewing very thoroughly - personally i would keep off solid food for a couple of days and stick to liquids entirely to see if things will settle down but if not give your fill provider a ring and get some expert advice - if you get really desparate and cannot get any fluids in go to A&E immediately (preferably an A&E attached to a hosp with a bariatric dept) and they can put you on a drip - dont dehydrate cos this can be very dangerous.

hi again - my band is 9 mls and i have 6.50 mls in it - i did go up to 7 mls but it meant i was getting a lot of night reflux - i tollerated it for several mths but in the end i had a small defill and that is about right for me - we are all different on the inside though and what is right for one person might not necessarily be for another and you need to find your own happy medium - i would say that you poss need .25 taking out however cos you have been struggling for several days you could have caused some swelling and initially this might still cause a problem for you - speak to your fill  provider and be guided by their advice - you might even need to return to the level you were at previously for a while in order to let things settle down and then return in a few wks time and perhaps go up to 7 mls cos it would seem that where you are at present is too tight and it can be dangerous in the long run  - it is true that after a wk or so it often slackens off but it would not be good to go that long without food - good luck with all of this and do return to let us know how it all goes fo r you

if things are not getting better or are even getting worse I would say you need a defill of approx half the amount you had put in
