Is my birthmark supposed to look like this ???

image birthmark is located on left side of abdomen? is it normal to be red and black like that?

    You need to see a Doctor, preferably a Dermatologist. Please let us know how you make out Shawn.

      i will have to make an appt., any idea on what it could possibly be? the birthmarks been there for as long as i can remember just dont remember it being black like that

      We are not doctors Shawn. Go to a dermatologist. If you go to your primary care dr. they will farm you out to a dermatologist. So, just go to the dermatologist and find out what is going on. You will feel better when you do!

    I have two birthmarks and they don't look like that. Have you accidently scratched it and how long has it been like that? If it has always been that way, don't worry, but if it has suddenly changed, and you haven't scratched it, you should see your doctor for advice.
