Is my dignosis correct regarding chest pain

I had chest discomfort bearly weeks ago.

In about the last 10 days, feb 15, I was carried by the ambulance to the ER. I had chest pain, a chocking feeling, and was light headed. They said it was a panic attack after they did an EKG and x-ray and everything looked fine. Truly, I was anxious that I’m gonna have a heart attack.  Thay gave me an inhaler and naproxen.

After couple days of the visit, I went to the ER again regarding chest pain and feeling that food is stuck in my throat plus nausea. The doctor said it may be acid reflux because they roled out heart attack, clots and heart failure and prescriped me omeprazole. She said if it’s really an acid reflux it would take a week to show an effect on you.

But, a few days later I felt so nauseous and dizzy at night that I had to go to the ER again. This time my husband took me to a different ER.  We told them what happened in the other ER. They did EKG, x-ray, blood test, urine test. Everything was normal. They said it’s either anxiety or acid reflux. But I still went their couple times for chest pain and shortness of breath. Every time I go, nothing show up in the tests.

Yesterday, I woke up lightheaded and nauseous, it got better when I sat down. But I had sharp chest pain in the middle spreading to my left shoulder and left up back. My husban took me to a different ER again, there they did EKG, blood test, urine test, and a CatScan. All looked normal they said. But the doctor had a different dignosis. He said I have an inflamation in the lining if the chest (Pleurisy). He prescribed me naproxen and hydrocodone.

I have an appointment next friday with a GI doctor to check for acid reflux. But with this different dignosis showing up, I got worried

Is it the correct dignosis? Should I make an appointment with a different specialist(respiratory) to check if I really have pleurisy?

Note that my chest pain sometimes hurt when I breath, when pressed on.

And I yawn and breath through my mouth  to take a breath in.

If your chest hurts when the rib cage is depressed I suggest you have costochondritis which is cartilage inflammation from direct impact or some other chest wall trauma.. If you have pleurisy you will certainly know it as very painful and with difficulty in breathing. A question to ask yourself is. Have I fallen, tripped over something, of coughed so hard that it caused damage to the chest wall? Or have you experienced recently the effects of a chest infection. If no, then explore the possibility of asking your medic for a rib cage lift to determine if costochondritis is the problem. Good luck in any event

      Thank you for the response.

No I haven’t fallen, couaghed nor a chest infection. Since I don’t have fluids buildingup, I think both Pleurisy and Costochondritis are possible? Beacause not all the times Pleurisy is accompanied by fuilds. Am I right? So I should ask them to akso look for   Costochondritis
