My anxiety is thru the roof and can’t see a way thru this🙈 is it a dose thing or is this normal? i dont know if is a dose thing if its too much or i need an increase??

It may be too high of a dose. Everyone is different. I started out with 25 mg and it helped me a lot. My doctor up me to 50 mg and it was too much. I gave it a few weeks, but the very deep depression, the ringing in my ears, and the feeling of disassociation was unbearable. I went back to the 25 mg. And after a couple of days, I felt much better. I tried to increase it again - but slowly. I took one 25 mg, and cut another one in half and took that too. I barely made 3 weeks on the 37 mg dose. Then I tried the 50 again... just as bad. So I am back on the 25 mg and that seems to be okay. Not great, but working okay. I started taking this because of anxiety that caused me frequent heart palpitations. The 25 mg seems to help in that respect. Maybe the 100 mg is too much for you. I would think by 15 weeks is more than enough to see if it is the right one for you. Did you do okay on the 50 mg?

That's a good idea. I'm a big guy too. I'm 6'4 and way just under 200 lbs. I am surprised that I couldn't take the 50 mg. I guess I'm a light weight with medications. When I went back on the 25 mg from 50, I did have a little bit of withdrawal like symptoms, but it only lasted for one night. I stayed on the 25 mg for a week or so, then tried the increase to the 37 mg. You might try that. Since 50 mg was working ok, go back to that for a week or so. Let you body adjust to the lower dose again. Then try upping to 75 and see how you do with that. If you do ok with the 75. Maybe that will be the right one. If not, up it to 100 again. Good luck with it. I know it takes a while to adjust to these meds.

Ask your doc mate you might need more 150 or 200 mg. I've seen many Cases like this when ppl had good days but anxiety were back they upped their doses and they are fine. There are Facebook groups like Positive Sertraline Support Group, or Bruno Snows Sertraline support group where thousands of ppl shares their experiences, come and post a question pal! I wish the best of luck and a speedy recovery for you!

l am new to sertraline (10 days) and this forum but because l have been suffering badly with nausea ,insomnia and tiredness l have been looking at a lot of information. l am on 25mg and intend to give that dose a try. Low doses seem to work for some people.
