Is my eyelids inflamed called Blepharirist? What kind of it? Any one please give me some tips.

I'm 23years old mom with 2daughters, 1 is new born. I experienced using contact lenses for 4-5years while 3years I worn them everyday. I like using 1years disposable color contact lenses. I start make up since I was 14. I never have any eyes problem besides myopia. This whole year, only wear contact lenses and make up around 20times cos I stop working since m pregant my 2nd daughter. She is now 4months and 2weeks.

I start having eye strain last 2months. Last month, I visited eye Dr. and he gave me Refresh Tears eyedrop. I used it for 10days and back to better. During that times, I used contact lenses once. I stop eye drop since I got flu and taking Doliphrane and Efferalgan that time I used contact lenses once again. 2days after, I start itchy eyelids. i automatically rubbed my eye since my hand applied Cotrimazole cream cos it has history with kind of skin problem ( m not sure what should it be drematitis, Tinea or eczema cos first it start with itchy, red, rash with little fluid in it, and some skin peel off. It will come when I wash clothes or dishes ). But, now that skin problem is not very serious as before, it just little sometimes. Before I thought it maybe cause by eye strain.

I noticed my skin dry especially face and head appear dandruff. Next day, I applied candid powder (Cotrimazole powder) all over my face but it not better. Another day, I applied balm on it, but it become worse. I tried salt water mixture to clean my face and it become better, then I use V.Rohto for 5days, I felt better. So, I stop and back to Refresh Tears, it start to itch again, so I drop V.Rohto 2days and feel better. First day, it olny itch, long time it become worse.

After 2weeks, I visited eye Dr. He told only my eyelids is inflamed. So, he gave me TelFast pills, Maxitrol, and Opticorn. For 2weeks. Last 3days, I visited him again for follow up, he told my eyes are almost normal so use someday more. Maybe I allergy to s.th like make up or contact lenses solution. But, I never change new brand. I use same thing all the times and many year already. During this time my eyes weak and blur. Can it cause my medicine or what? Can it back to normal? I didn't notice I have allergy to s.th. Contact lenses solution, I used it occasionally, so I didn't noticed it over 90days, 4-5weeks. But, I never noticed problem during using it. It come after 2days from the last using. But, Renu eye drop feel not fine when I start using it the first box while I never use before. Also a new pair of my contact lenses felt a bit strange than old pair. When I put it on, it was not so clear, not so smooth and soft like the old one.

Now I wonder what really cause me problem? What kind of Blepharirist that I really have? Recently I was so weak, sick easily, skin itch often, diarrhea easily, caught cool often while before I never been like this. Please give me some tips.

You can't exactly "test" for bleph , only go by the visable symptoms . This site has a good explanation of the " "types " of bleph and their symptoms . Whilst your general health is so poor it's not surprissing that and eye problem has arisen , your own immunne system most be working overtime to try and spread itself to try and combat all your various aliments . No doubt your levels of minerals wil be very depleted , so if nothing else i'd be looking to boost those so that the body can try and heal itself . Plenty of good mineral and vitimin tonics out there for about a fiver . Whether you've blepth or not paying particular attention to at least 3 times per day eyelid / lashes cleansing sessions would seem a must . If you are in the UK your doctor should organise an outpatient appointment with a specialist for the eyes .

I have eye strain 2months after delivered my 2nd baby. One month later, I slept less, stayed in front of fan, drink less water, drink much coffee, focus closely while breastfeed and breast pump for my baby. Dr. gave me Refresh Tears eyedrops and said I can use contact lense as I wish. Now, I feel my eyes dry, but Dr. Didn't mention of it or gave me rewetting eyedrop. :'( I often see gray n white floaters now. But, Dr. Said nothing about my eyes. I feel not good. Just 2weeks after eyestrain I got eyelid inflamed.

Thank you for giving me the link to your post.  I did not realise you had posted outlining or your problems.  I am not sure what to say maybe it is to do with your medications.  I am no doctor if I were you I would see the doctor again.  Write down all your symptoms if that helps.  I hope you can get to the bottom of this and get the help and treatment you need,  Congratulations on your new daughter

Thanks dear. I have checked TelFast pill and Opticorn eyedrops are really for allergy. If things that we usually consume or use for long without problems, will it suddenly allergy? Or new thing such as eyedrop "Refreash Tears"? If allergy is the cause of my eyelid inflamed, do u think that it possible cure or not?

Allergies are funny things they can seem to start for no reason so I can't really give you an answer.  I don't know anything about refresh tears.  I was prescribed a eye drop called celluvisc by the eye hospital they are preservative free and are probably only on prescription.  This was because I was already having sore eyes from blepharitis and I was having to take glaucoma drops.  The doctor gave me the celluvisc as she thought they would soothe and lubricate the eye before putting in the drops.  It is the preservative in drops that sometimes cause problems for some people but not all.  I still use them daily and before my glaucoma eye drops.  Sorry I can't be of much help.  I do hope you get to the cause of your eye problems.  Keep on at the doctor until you can find out what is causing them to be inflamed.

Hi librakady, don't u might me asking about ur experience of glaucoma? What are the first sign of u to notice?

Hi Kitty,  There are two types the common type usually related to aging and there are not normally any symptoms in the early stages that is why it is very important to have your eyes checked and the ocular pressures checked.  In the uk everyone over the age of 40 can get a check and those of any age with family history of the disease.  The second type is acute glaucoma which I believe cause painful red eye and headache.  I am sure someone here will correct me if I am wrong.  There is the glaucoma forum you can visit as well.  There is also ocular hypertension where the pressures are raised above the normal range but there is not damage.  Mine started like this and it was just checked for many years.

In August I started on glaucoma eyes for 1 eye as there had been early changes to the optic nerve.  I had laser treatment but it did not lower the pressure. If you are at all worried then see the optician or eye doctor.  I believe you wear glasses so you will have regular visits when having new glasses.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your kind words.  Actually I am not any stronger than you.  I suffer from anxiety and have had one to one councilling.  At the moment I am anxious but it is to do with other family things.  You will feel better and you will cope I am sure.  I often feel as you do so you are not alone.  Do see your doctor if you continue to feel very down.

Thanks dear, my doctor never tell me what kind of Blepharirist do I have just he mentioned do not allow anything in my eyes. I can use contact lenses until m cured. But, don't know when I used his eyedrops for 2weeks, he told me no need to go back if this week I feel better. Now I still feel a title itch occasionally during my whole day. I still do warm compress and wash my eye with warm water 1-2 times everyday. Now m not sure why my face still feel itch for 1month, few days before Blepharirist start on me.

Have you actually seen an eye doctor rather than just a gp? Also looking at your photos maybe you need to see a Dermatologist.

Good luck Hope it all clears up for you
