Is prozac working

Posted , 3 users are following.

5 weeks and 5 days on prozac and am wondering should I go back to the doctor to up the dose...I'm on 20. yes I feel better than I did but feel I should be a whole lot better. but then should I feel hugely better. I suppose I'm exasperated and expected enthusiasm and zest to return sooner. my sleep is very broken too so that's not helping

for me, it took several months for the morning anxiety to subside. My mood improved greatly by 6 months. I started on 20 mg and stayed there.... in hindsight, I think if i had started at 10mg, the anxiety may have been much reduced, but i have no way of knowing that now, since I plan on continuing with the Prozac for a couple years. I did find out after about 4 months into the Prozac that it is known to give heightened anxiety for quite a few people..... how long it lasts is all individual.

thank you Sarah. that is good to know. personally I didn't want to up the dose because of the zombie like few weeks and full hour of yawning in the morning. then people say go back to the doctor. this morning I found myself singing how great thou art! I took that as a huge plus as I never sing

I read that the first thing you notice is positive actions before positive thoughts. that really helped me hearing that as I had noticed tiny things I had done that were positive and post commencing prozac.
