Is sertraline no longer working?

Hey guys,

I'm laying here feeling worse than I have in a long time.

I'm feeling a bit spaced out, anxious, exhausted, depressed and very little motivation.

I've been feeling like this for about 4 days now, however the last few weeks have been fairly rough. I'm on 125mg and have been for about a year now.

I'm not sure if it's just no longer working for me, or that is it just the current dose doesn't work anymore. I'm tempted to go up to 150mg and see how that is for the next few weeks.

I was reading today, that the efficacy can lessen with the meds when your overall mindset has shifted or changed. I've been going through a very tough time, feeling generally lost in life, and in a job that's too stressful.

Any insight?

Thank you.

hey, seeing as it has been a year it might be worth it to ask your GP if you should increase it. Its possible that with the extra life stresses that it needs to be upped even if it's just a little bit. Especially if it's between an increase and having to switch meds. That's my opinion since it takes time to level on any AD. how are you now?
