Is there an underlying problem for my acute pancreatitis?

Two times while eating pizza in the last 4 months I have had sudden sharp chest pains, only lasting for a second of so. However, the first time it happened, I ate a whole large pizza and it knocked me back in my seat when I tried to get up and I woke up the next day with severe upper abdominal pain and was ended up being hospitalized for alcohol induced pancreatitis. (I had only been drinking hard liquor on the weekends for about 10months after I turned 21) I know vodka has a lot of oxidatives opposed to the antioxidants which you need. Cut back on drinking by probably 90%, basically just ale and wine every now and then. Eat healthier now as well. However I had similar experiences 2 days ago after eating 3 slices of pizza. Just not intense enough to be hospitalized. I often spit my food back up unwilling almost immediately after eating breads at times too (have to eat them real slowly) and I also got the same "spit it back up feeling" while any time I tried to drink a beer(before I even got pancreatitis). I would just like to know if there's an underlying problem to all this, I feel like since I had binge drink 2 days before I was hospitalized that they just wrote me off for alcohol induced pancreatitis anyway. I'm not an alcoholic, just a college student who binge drinks with friends on the weekends (over the course of less than a year) and what the cause may be to this sudden sharp chest pain near the heart that leads to pancreatitis the next day? Thanks for your time.

Prevention is the only way.Reducing your risks of an attack is in my mind the single most important thing you can do.
Not cool,I know to be different from your friends, but is the pain and agony worth it?
Low fat diet
No alcohol
Little or no chocolate, cheese, spicy foods is best for me,may well help you as well.
Give it a go.

I have also got an issue with reoccurring lung infections. about one every four to six weeks. There is an issue caused by enzymes in the blood. This apparently can cause issues with the heart lungs kidneys and noggin.

I look at lots different sights on computer about pancreas related issues.there's a few sites for pancreatic spleen bowel surgery survivors. Some of them had surgery years ago( and we have moved forward so much)perhaps you could do some searchescand get chatting with them for support.
I am sure folk on this site will give support as well.keep going yuve got through so much already, you must be a strong person.please keep in touch .cathy
