Is there any help for dry mouth?

I have tried everything available over the counter and they don't work. Do I need prescription meds?

    Hi Ssm,

    If you are taking meds for sjogrens it should help you with the dry mouth. What I found is that if I eat or drink acidy it makes my mouth drier. My mouth is dry mainly at night but after brushing I spray with bioxtra moisturizer it's a gel that keeps my mouth moist. I Also found that toothpaste makes your mouth worst. Bioxtra has a toothpaste too.

    I found that drinking decaf green tea with honey helps.if you can get some organic coconut oil and rub inside your mouth helps too. And of course chewing sugar free gum with xylitol is a great help.

    I am in process of having test for SS ,and my GP has prescribed glandosane only been using it a couple of days but it's better than it was, have you had a lip biopsy by the way ,and do you suffer for breathlessness, good luck with your symptoms hope you find some relief

    My Doctor prescribed Evoxac 30 Mg capsules 4 xs a day. They worked very well for me, but you do have to take them four times a day. They help make salavia and made the dry mouth go away. The side affects that I had were that it made me feel very hot, I sweated heavy, I drolled heavy and urinated frequently.
