Hi are you taking any medication for your depression and anxiety , and what is happening to you in your change if you do not mind me asking

I’m 50 now and have had depression and anxiety since I was 19 , the change intensified my symptoms and hrt hasn’t helped much apart from the sweats

I am so sorry to hear you have had depression since 19 that is so sad, it doesn't give much hope to people who have just been diagnosed, but I hope you have had good days and learnt to deal with it, I thought the change would make it worse, but I am on the mini pill so I do not know if I am going through it, or the sweats are due to the weather

a simple blood test at Doctors will tell you if your going through menopause. Your probably in peri menopause

Peri menopause is the start of it all 😬 before you go into full blown menopause . I started at 47 , 3 years ago and couldn’t bear the sweats sickness and feeling like I was going to pass out all the time so went on hrt and it was a life saver for me . Menopause made my depression worse and feel like I want to smack people all the time 😂 far worse than pmt but it effects every woman different. Doc checking your hormones will give you a definite result and they will talk you through your options. A lot of women I’ve spoken to went the herbal route and worked wonders for them but it didn’t with me and hrt was my last option. Hope you have an easy time with it as a lot of women do x

I started mine in November and it was freezing at the time but the sweats were unbearable, i felt like ripping my skin off 😣 I’m on “elleste duet “ hrt now and the horrible side effects of menopause has gone apart from the phsyco mood swings which are uncontrollable 😬

I know how you feel its one vicious circle, you solve one problem and you get another, so you get the menopause under control and now you have terrible mood swings, and you say they are uncontrollable, the only thing i can help you with that is alternative medicine, its better for you, keeps you calm, valerian, look up stuff and they do a lot in holland and barratt, take care
