Is there something wrong with my circulation and breathing?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I get prolonged feeling of pressure at the centre of my chest - near xiphoid / bottom of sternum (going from diagrams and trying to match to my body)

I also get sharp / stabbing pains to (my) left of sternum, approx two ribs up. Several times a week at random, night or day.

Have also been suffering from swollen glands, in the neck and armpits. Glands go up and down intermittently, not always at the same time as other symptoms. Even when not swollen they feel very tender.

Chills and unusual variations in body temperature - regardless of room temperature. I also suffer from night sweats, soaking the bedclothes, I also get a lot of headaches which is abnormal for me.

Energy levels low. Motivation low. Higher than normal blood pressure

Chest pains since around June 2014 and for the last two years hands and feet constant redness. This has become much more uncomfortable since around March 2014 when it started to affect my everyday life. When body temperature goes up hands and feet will feel as if burning, as if a lot of pressure was being applied. Similar to if you pressed your palms hard on a desk until they heated up. This is especially bad during the night, I have to keep hands and feet outside of blanket. It stops me from sleeping. It moves like pins and needles but feels like burning. The redness is blotchy, there are spots (not raised but small spot sized areas) where it’s more concentrated a darker red.

I don't know if these symptoms are connected, doctors haven't found anything wrong. Our surgery is busy and it's not always easy to see a doctor. The doctor will say "what do you want me to do?"

Feel helpless. Am female aged 41

Oh no! I despise it when Gods, (doctors) and demi-God's, (physician assistants and nurses), treat a patient like that!

Your answer could be, "I want you to do your job and dig in and find out what is wrong with me! It is YOUR JOB and OBLIGATION to SERVE ME!"

Sorry for my outburst. Fight the good fight Gillian, fight for your rights to be diagnosed and treated.

Please stay in touch, and I pray you will receive your diagnosis in a timely manner.

    Hugs

    Gillian,

I found your post because I was looking up information on my own mysterious chest pain, breathing issues, and weakness/fatigue.

When I read what you wrote, I had to share the information that I have seen that looks similar to your description.

First, ensure that there is no way you could be exposed to low levels of carbon monoxide from a faulty heater.

If that's ok, perhaps explore hypoxia or anemia, maybe from mycoplasma (walking) pnemonia, which might also explain swollen glands. These two illnesses can be overlooked easily and often are.

I happened on anemia looking for a reason why I felt an odd "oxygen deprived" sensation when breathing out.

I found useful info on hemolytic anemia here on the nih website.

Might want to rule out lyme disease, thought that seems unlikely.

I hope you'll forgive me for responding with all these out there ideas, but I feel such a sense of frustration myself that it feels nice to try and help someone else. I hope to hear you are feeling much better!

Thanks, I'll have to look into that a bit more. My good friend Chris had suggested it could be something similar when he noticed I was using my woodburner with the door open, of course it could just be a coincidence, but food for thought
