Is there such thing as zero Fodmaps foods?

When looking into the Fodmaps diet everything seems to be portion controlled (ie. 1 cup of rice).  I am very busy and I eat on the go, is there anything I can eat in abundance that I can just keep on hand whenever I am hungry?

I lived on rice crackers and peanut butter with banana when I didn't have time for food preparation.  Might work if you can handle the peanut butter.  Just a thot.

Thanks but can I eat any of these in abundance, like without portion control?

Actually, IMHO the Low FODMAP is a kind of guide as to what may be acceptable to eat without giving you a lot of problems but it's only a guide. when I saw that 1 serving of brussel sprouts consists of 2, I laughed.  You will know the right portion size by experimentation.  I know I can eat more than a 1/2 cup of broccoli because I do and I don't have a problem with that.  Since each of our systems are different, it's trial and error that will give you your answer.  Good luck.

Yes there are FODMAP free foods. My dietician gave me a list. I'm not sure how this would relate to the app as this was before the research was more developed. ( you couldn't even buy a FODMAP book when I started it). So things like rice were FODMAP free but you are saying it isn't. All meat and fish is FODMAP free, as are eggs.

A lot of it is trial and error, which is why there is an elimination stage an re trials stages, as you may react to large quantities of something but not to small. Also some FODMAP foods are still triggers for IBS, so you really do need to take the time to do it.
