Is this a bug bite or something else? Itchy, raised, dark red bump on leg

Hi guys. I thought I got a mosquioto bite over the weekend. It was an itchy raised bump. For me, mosquiotp bites usually go away within an hour. The next day it was still there. Very hard and swolen under the skin and very itchy. Today it is much darker red with a raised white bump in the middle. Less swollen, but still very itchy.

Any ideas? Should I be concerned? Does this look like a bug bite or something else?

    Hi,

    There are no pictures attached, but from what your describing it sounds like a tick bite. I would google it if I were you. If it is I would get to your doctor or emergency room ASAP. It could have been carrying Lyme Disease. You dont want to wait for this kind of bite. I believe it can be treated if caught early on.

      I don't believe tick bites (Lyme disease specifically) usually itches or looks like this. I have actually had Lyme disease in the past. Not to say it couldn't be a tick bite, but doesn't seem to match the normal look/feel of a tick bite and lyme disease

    First off I'm in UK and we are having a bumper year for mosquitoes, I have at least 20 bites at the moment and they are driving me crazy, we were warned in June this was going to happen so I wasn't bothered as I don't normally get bitten more than once or twice.

    Have you tried antihistamine cream or tabs if it's driving you mad.

    If you are really worried then go to a walkin centre near you and get it checked out.

    i had a spider bite that streaked red.Get to a doctor and let them determine what it is.please take the recommendation.

      My doctor viewed the photos and said it was most likely a spider bite

    We don't get spider bites in UK so can't comment but did he know for definite it was a non dangerous spider bite?
