Is this a form of hot flush ?

Can anyone help me please . I seem to get a lot of problems with my stomach , although I think a lot of this is anxiety , but sometimes I get this really weird feeling . It starts with a nauseous feeling in my stomach and then spreads as heat through my body sometimes into my legs as well . As soon as it's here it's gone again. I don't sweat just get this strange unsettled stomach feeling and heat . Is this a hot flush ? I just seem to worry about everyone about every symptom and pain especially my stomach . Am I ever going to be free of this ? It's taking over and ruining my life . I'm 49 and have been like this for a year and a half ever since my mum died , so I guess it's all connected . Different doctors have said as much , but I still worry and think I must have something terribly wrong with my stomach . What causes this unease ? Any advice would be appreciated

I got gastitis in peri and even now I get the nauseous feeling with feeling hot all common in peri meno, I thought I was done with the nausea as im year plus in Menopause but it seems to have returned. I even lost weight with the gastitis which worried me as I thought women normally put on weight but after reading on here, other women lost weight too, I have now put on some more than I was! I spent many a night worrying, health anxiety has been the worse plus panic attacks and general anxiety, the vitamins I take for 50 plus has helped calm me down x

Jane, I'll assume you are still having periods at age 49. What your symptoms indicate is a hormone imbalance, which is very common in perimenopause. Often our stomach can feel nauseated by estrogen. Levels swing wildly throughout peri. So my best guess is an up swing of estrogen is causing your nausea.

Jane my best advice would be to stop looking for answers to the symptoms your having. You have suffered a trauma by your mum passing away, I'm suffering the same as my mum passed away in January this year.
Going through this change is hard enough but any additional stress really adversely affects your nervous system
I think if you can stop focussing on symptoms and don't give them any importance in time things will settle for you, my weak point has been my neck, its rigid and I have lost some movement in it because I allowed the pain and imbalance with the weak muscles to overwhelm me, I'm slowly trying to move my neck again even though it's very painful and mashed me feel off balance but I'm determined to get going again
Let the fear go and your body will heal itself
Wishing you all the best xx

Should all this still be affecting me now as my mum died on the 30th June 2015 ? Mind due I also my beloved little Westie in August and I loved her to bits . I know that we have to go through trauma in our lives , especially as we get older , but this does not mean it's any less painful to deal with . I just haven't felt the same health wise since I lit my mum . I always very healthy . Thank you for your kind words

Jane it can take years to get over the death of a parent, don't be so hard on yourself and stop questioning why you feel like you do
Your body needs time to balance and heal just try and go with the symptoms and sensations just let them be there and try and get on with your day as best as you can
Sorry to hear about your wee dog passing as well as your mum you are a very strong lady coping with everything that's been thrown your way....be proud of yourself, you'll be ok
Just let us know if you need any help xx
