Is this a fungal infection? how can i treat it?

basically nearly 2 months ago i noticed my nail becomming yellow, it literally peeled off the nail polish as you can see in the pic, its not really painful however i can't wear heels or flats because it hurts like hell. I'm really scared when it comes to gross stuff like nails hair skin etc so i'm wondering if the treatment just requires some liquids or do i need to have surgeries :X?

    When my fingernails underwent the same problem the pharmacist had me take a calcium test and said I was lacking in calcium. I started taking calcium suppliments with vitamin C or D, cannot remember which one now, and the nails improved tenfold.

    Another thing that is brilliant for hard nails is Mavala. It is for diamond  hard nails, works brilliantly by sealing te 7 layers of nail tighly together. It also enables nail growth.
