Is this a herpes breakout? (Pictures included)

Okay so I’ve been dating a guy for about 4 months now, we have sex regularly without protection. About one week ago we had anal foreplay, the next day I was kinda sore (which I knew to be somewhat expected) but as the week progressed it seem the pain got worse especially going to the bathroom. So Thursday night I decided to take a peek down in that area, I saw a couple red bumps, so I ended up going to see my doctor Friday morning she took a look and said that I had a internal and external hemorrhoid and a small fissure, she said the bumps just looked like razor burn and prescribed some lidocaine ointment and sent me on my way. Now fast forward to the weekend, the hemorrhoids seemed to have went down and it no longer hurt to go to the bathroom. But I could barely walk, very uncomfortable to sit down and to wipe after going to the restroom was unbearable. I took another look Sunday and it seem that the bumps were getting worse and excruciating. Monday I decided to go back to the doctor and she took a look and said it now looks like herpes. She took a swab of one of the lesions and I’m now waiting for test results. I’m extremely worried and scared, so I just want some other opinions while I wait. Thanks in advance!

So sorry you’re going through this, everything will be okay. For me mine started with little cuts near my anus, it was super painful and the doctor wasn’t sure by looking at it that it was herpes since it was at the beginning of my OB. She took a culture just to make sure and I had to wait 5 long days to find out if it was herpes. Gradually it got worse and worse, the cuts turned into bumps and I couldn’t walk or urinate. I found out while waiting for my test results that the person I slept with had oral herpes and didn’t disclose to me... he went down on me and I got it from oral sex. To ease the pain I recommend you pee in shower, you can take warm Epsom salt baths, and a good way to make the lesions dry up is with bentonite clay mixed with coconut oil and a dash of tea tree oil. Good luck. If you have any questions I’m happy to answer from my experience.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It is possible it could be herpes, if there are lesions like you mentioned and you've been having unprotected sex. I am assuming your partner doesn't know his status?
