if you haven't begun to heal i would call your primary doctor and ask to be seen and let them know you are coming in to be tested for the herpes virus and you want a swab test done if that cant be done ask for blood test. if you've get contracted the virus within the last 3 months it may be to early to be tested by blood but a direct swab test can be taken anytime because it is an active infection site.
