Is this a herpes ulcer?

So i noticed this last night. Originally, it felt like there was a bump there and then last night....this bad boy shows up.

    this is most likely a ingrown hair that has been there awhile. the dried edges and deep pocketed sore does not resemble that of a herpes sore
