Is this a normal change for a mole?

I've had this mole literally all my life, had it since i was around 4 or 5 and always kept an eye on the size/texture to see if it changes at all. I'm 22 now, use sunbeds every now and then but not excessively but my mole now has a bit of a white/pearly spot on it that is slightly raised. Its been there for around a month now but I'm not sure whether its worth getting checked. I asked my GP a while ago about a mole nearby to this one that had a few white (but flat) spots on it and they said it looked normal so i don't really want to bother them if this is a normal thing to happen to moles/if its just starting to raise a bit.

Hi sophie89038, it is a good idea have your GP examine the mole if it changed its size, shape, or colour.

In the meantime, I would recommend placing a ruler next to the mole and taking photos in regular intervals (say every few months). That way you can document any changes.
