Is this a part of menopause?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I haven't had a period in 5 years. 7 months ago I came off Clonazapam and experienced all the normal withdrawal symptoms; however, I continue to have recurrent bouts of insomnia and nausea. Many have suggested to me that it may be hormonal .... thoughts?

    hi Debie

oh bless you hun, nausia never nice..

7 months should be a good amount of time to be free of Clonazapam in your system.

insomnia may be an affect menopause, but also maybe because you are not taking the Clonazapam.. Not too sure ..

nausea, if this is a problem ongoing, then I would see you doctor, and get some blood tests done..

are you on anything else new, like HRT or anything that could make you feel nausia .

think I would see the doctor Debbie ..

Hello - yes, doctor isn't sure himself what is causing the nausea. Possibly still withdrawing from Clonazapam but who knows. He wants to send me to a sleep specialist (again) even though I've tested negative for sleep apnea. I've been on 6 mg. Melatonin for 3 months now. Where can I get ginger tablets? Been drinking Ginger ale with green tea and it kind of helps.

      Thank you for your response!

      solgar chelated magnesium ..

      Useful info.. Ginger tablets ..

      Ginger is an herb.

The rhizome (underground stem) is used as a spice and also as a medicine. It can be used fresh, dried and powdered, or as a juice or oil.

Ginger is commonly used to treat various types of “stomach problems,” including motion sickness, morning sickness, colic, upset stomach, gas, diarrhea, nausea caused by cancer treatment, nausea and vomiting after surgery, as well as loss of appetite.

Other uses include pain relief from arthritis or muscle soreness, menstrual pain, upper respiratory tract infections, cough, and bronchitis.

Ginger is also sometimes used for chest pain, low back pain, and stomach pain.

Some people pour the fresh juice on their skin to treat burns.

The oil made from ginger is sometimes applied to the skin to relieve pain.
