IS this a positive sign in withdrawal?

Came off citalopram couple weeks ago had also been on sertraline. Did cold turkey not advised i know but side effects were crippling. Already had intrusive thoughts fro zop withdrawal but the SSRI's gave me awful OCD behavioural issues as well. Just noticed last few days get one day in tears feeling awful then next day able to cope bit better then back to despair again. Just wondering if this could be a positive e sign recovery taking place as just felt awful whole time on the SSRI's and withdrawal hit as soon as i stopped them

I know all about waves and windows from zop withdrawal have done lot research and don't start this early in withdrawal, this is different. Never had any windows in zop withdrawal, and symptoms didnt start for few weeks, e this is different, if you have a window it'S when you feel back to normal, not like that at all the symptoms still there just not as extreme As was only on them short time wondered if brain unravelling a bit. But it's not waves & windows.

you should never just stop taking medication instant you will suffer more because your body is trying to balance itself out. it will pass but it will take a while.

dDepends on how bad side effects are don't feel any worse than when Iwas on them and they were giving me more symptoms so didn't have much choice. Agree if you are stable and just want come off meds better to taper, wasn't on them that long either.

I was on 2 different ones for 2 months each and side effects just got worse and worse. Believe me if anything had improved would have stuck it out!

Not sure made an appointment with a psychiatrist very pricey but friend highly recommended. Hopefully point me in right direction. SSRI's weren'T for me so if take something else want make sure is it's right thing doctors seem bit clueless.

Doctors are clueless regarding mental health problems, and NHS provision rubbish. In my mind seeing someone who actually has expertise in this field is the sensible thing to do. Seeing him privately, in my experience to actually get help in certain areas unfortunately you have pay for it. All NHS offered was CBT that was useless.

Just out of interest why do you think psychiatrists are bad? Only lot people on here to have seen them. Just curious?

yeah doctors just push you out the door as fast as they can no concern really of someones health ive noticed that you say one thing and they just chuck you on medications without any knowledge of it

i dont think theyre bad at all, i just think its all trial and error and if you read enough psychiatrists are as pill happy as doctors except they have the added bonus of being paid (a lot) anyway you know yourself best, good luck and i hope you get yourself sorted.

Least they will prescribing the right medication for your condition. Think you are just guineas pigs with doctors don't have any idea less trial and error. Have you had personal experience then? this one is highly qualified, friend's son been suffering for years and he was only one gave him a diagnosis. Doctor told zopiclone was just placebo effect.
